If you are not a Mason
Freemasonry welcomes members from all races, ethnicities, and backgrounds. Before you can join the Scottish Rite, you must first become a Master Mason in a Lodge which is a part of a Grand Lodge recognized by the Conference of Grand Masters of Masons in North America (COGMNA).
For further information, visit the Grand Lodge of Alaska or contact your local Blue Lodge or Scottish Rite Body to assist you.
If you are a Blue Lodge Mason
To join the Scottish Rite you must:
- Be a Master Mason in good standing in a COGMNA lodge;
- Complete a petition (click here) and include the appropriate fee; and
- Attend a “Reunion” where the Scottish Rite Degrees are conferred.
